The Championship 18 is the centrepiece of Bootleg Gap Golf, a par 72 stretching to 7,157 yards along the St. Mary River below Kimberley. Rolling benchland, river-bottom holes and mountain backdrops on the Purcell side give the course far more variety than its parkland first impression suggests. Kimberley's 1,120-metre elevation — the highest of any city in Canada — adds noticeable carry off the tee. The club shares a clubhouse, grill and indoor simulator with its shorter Recreational 9.
